Randy McMillion has been Alpha’s Executive Vice President and Running Right Officer since June 2011. Prior to that time, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer from August 2009 until June 2011. Prior to the merger with Foundation in July 2009, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from February 2009 through July 2009 and Vice President of Operations from April 2007 to February 2009. Randy joined Alpha in May 2005 as the President and Manager of our Brooks Run subsidiary, in charge of all southern West Virginia mining operations until he was promoted to Vice President of its subsidiary, Alpha Natural Resources, LLC in March 2006. Before joining Alpha Randy worked at Foundation and its predecessor—RAG American Coal, he held the position of President of Rockspring Development from June 2004 to May 2005, and a number of other positions with RAG American Coal beginning in October 1999. Prior to October 1999, Randy held engineering, mining and processing positions at Pittston Coal Company, including Pittston’s Vice President of West Virginia Operations.
