John W. Fox, Jr. is a member of the audit committee and the nominating and corporate governance committee since July 2009 . He was a member of Alpha’s board of directors prior to the merger with Foundation in 2009 and was chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committee and a member of the compensation committee beginning in November 2004. Mr. Fox served as Senior Vice President, Coal Services for Norfolk Southern Company, a railroad operator, from April 2001 until his retirement in November 2003, and as Senior Vice President, Coal Marketing from December 1999 to April 2001. Mr. Fox began his career with a predecessor of Norfolk Western Railroad Company in 1969.
